The Good

Prep time: 5-10 minutes Servings: 6-8

Raw cacao is cold pressed, unroasted, unprocessed. The good for you substances don't get roasted off so cacao is packed with antioxidants, fibre, magnesium, protein and calcium. Cacao can improve heart health, lower blood pressure, reduce LDL “bad” cholesterol and boost serotonin levels in the brain. Avocado is a great source of heart healthy fats, and along with bananas provide loads of potassium and antioxidants.

 

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados, peeled and broken up

  • 1 banana, peeled and broken up

  • ½ cup raw cacao powder

  • ¼ cup organic maple syrup

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • Tiny pinch of salt (Himalayan or Celtic)

Method

  1. Place all ingredients in food processor. Process until extremely smooth.

  2. Spoon mousse into container and refrigerate.

NOTES

Add some hazelnuts for a healthy Nutella taste.

A few dollops of this mouse is perfect paired with the chia pudding and some berries for a healthy snack.
